Da 4187 Change Of Mos

ARENILLAS

The last Friday of March, as is the custom to celebrate Rural Schools, held the monthly meeting, which this time had a special development.

A Tere our principal saw fit to attend our neighbors Patri and Rebecca, from England and North America respectively, took up residence in our small town Moratinos.

This unique behavior has attracted much interest and excitement in the people of this region, both for the novelty of fact as its superb adaptation to the customs of the people.

Accompanied by Professor Maribel who spent his life teaching in Barcelona and has also set up residence in his home town of Calahorra, gave us a juicy chat about his current life, so different from that were exercising their professions.

With slight differences, the three agreed that their personal decision to live in these towns, is due to the atmosphere of calm and well-being enjoyed by them, so different from the hectic environment of large cities.

also praised that they are so few neighbors is easy to know everyone and establish a good relationship with them, something difficult to achieve in most populated.

Learning and practicing new habits regarded it as enrichment for both parties. This gives life a new incentive that helps to rejuvenate the hopes, somewhat faded by the passage of time. Perhaps

which have always lived in these villages do not know that they appreciate what is essential: knowing the needs and customs of the neighbor with good will to contribute to remedy them.

One of the major drawbacks about living in these towns so small, and that the new neighbors will be realizing is that the slightest conflict, however small, it takes a long time to solve it, since the lack common premises makes personal contact with that could be fixed soon. In most cases we bushed in our homes, to the detriment of coexistence.

Hopefully this fresh air that new neighbors bring us to serve us, little by little, amend our ways and that the mixture of them is positive for everyone.

As Homer and Rebecca had not seen the old abbey, we visited the church and chapter house. The monastic order of the last Premostracenses who ran the convent. With the seizure of Mendizabal had to leave. Then became a priory and if there was a total wreck was because it was the parish church and Arenillas neighbors took care of it.

The church is Romanesque-Mudejar style with a mix of brick and stone. The archivolts of their entry, well-defended by a glass partition, containing busts human very artistic and in good condition.

En su interior destaca un magnifico retablo presidido por la imagen de su patrono San Pelayo, flanqueado por dos buenas modern images of the hearts of Jesus and Mary.

The dome is ribbed and is adorned with pictures of very beautiful flowers.

The pulpit is made up of panels painted with pictures colorful geometric.

Aneja to church but at a lower level, is the chapter house. In the vaulted arches of limestone is seen as a slight deterioration of the hardness of the stone and the time was retouching. These

two buildings, to be below ground level, maintain a very cool temperature, which countered with several stoves to celebrate Sunday mass.
